I wrote a quick Tweet yesterday about how American Idol needs to increase their season like the NFL has over the years. This is because there is just too much time between the end of one season of Idol to the next. Yes it is a long season as it is and it is very grueling for the contestants but I bet you would not get many complaints from the fans. American Idol is that good of a show. It draws a huge viewing audience that even has effects on eBay. That’s right, when American Idol comes on eBay’s buying and selling traffic plummets. Just watch the CNBC documentary about eBay that was done a couple of years ago if you think I’m exaggerating. It really is incredible how many viewers tune in when the microphones are turned on for the greatest show on television.
Having American Idol Withdrawals?
I’m actually having American Idol withdrawals. I know we had a great season 10 with Scotty McCreery edging by the likes of Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart, and James Durbin. It was an awesome season and the music was FANtastic. If you don’t think so just ask the FANS. Nothing against the AI 2011 performers but I am ready for the next show. The adrenaline will be pumping.
